Walled Lake Consolidated School District's Elementary Music Department has created a curriculum that allows for students to engage with music in a variety of ways. From music making through instrument playing and singing, to analyzing music and the different parts that make it up, to exploring other cultures through the context of music, we as a department work to ensure that your student has largest scope possible as to what music is. 

The WLCSD Elementary Music Department has the following mission statement: 

Music education is an essential discipline, accessible to all students regardless of their background, talents or inherent abilities. Music teaches essential life skills along with appreciation and respect for others’ ideas and personal expressions. It engages the total individual in acts of creating, performing and analyzing. Our goal is for students to cultivate both an appreciation and lifelong relationship with music.
